Squamish Nation
Attollo is the adviser to the Squamish Nation and has the role of project lead working with the Economic Development Corporation of the Nation through negotiations and launch of the project.
The Squamish Nation’s Sen̓áḵw lands are located at the edge of Kitsilano in Vancouver, British Columbia. The lands are designated reserve lands which necessitates the issuance of leases through Indigenous Services Canada for development to begin.
The location is centered in one of the most pedestrian and bicycle-oriented neighborhoods in Vancouver with easy access to major attractions such as Granville Island, Kitsilano Beach and downtown Vancouver (over the Burrard Street Bridge).
Ultimately, the site could see the construction of between 3-4 Million SF in the form of a sustainable and industry-leading development: one that is the first of its kind on reserve lands in Canada. In addition to being ground breaking, this partnership offers significant cultural, economic and business opportunities to the Nation both during the construction and in the long-term.
